Hello beloved fans, The good news is that the ISMA/MSS merger was a success. The goal was to increase car count and that we did, averaging 22 cars. The cooperation from Oswego Speedway to work with us on race scheduling enabled Oswego cars to also participate. In the spirit of efficiencies and wanting to make it easy on our fans and teams, we are moving to one Facebook, Website and Twitter account. This was MSS's sixth season and ISMA will be celebrating their 50^th anniversary in 2024. It was an easy decision which accounts we would keep. Therefore, effective 10/29/23 all Midwest Supermodified Series accounts will be turned off and will be moving to the following accounts for your Big Block, Top Wing, Supermodified news and updates:

ISMA / MSS EVANS MILLS JOHN BURR CLASSIC SCHEDULE POSTED

EVANS MILLS, N.Y. — The schedule has been posted for the 2023 ISMA / MSS Championship Night at Evans Mills Raceway Park in the North Country of Upstate New York.

The 2023 ISMA / MSS series championship is on the line in the 100-lapper. Owner John Nicotra and driver Otto Sitterly will be aiming for their third series championship in a row. The Nicotra/Sitterly team will enter the John Burr Classic with a 29-point lead over owner/driver Mike McVetta. Kyle Edwards is third, only 33 points out of the lead.

ORDWAY LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE FOR WIN NO. 2 OF 2023 AT OSWEGO WINGED CHALLENGE

OSWEGO, N.Y. (race report by Keith Shampine, ISMAsupers.com / photos by Jim Feeney)— Second generation supermodified standout Mike Ordway Jr. raced the Clyde Booth-built and owner No. 61 “Silver Bullet” to his second ISMA / MSS feature win of the season Sunday afternoon in the rain delayed Circle T Ready Mix / Shea Concrete Oswego / ISMA / MSS Challenge Race #4 at Oswego Speedway.

The 50-lap feature, scheduled for Saturday night, was pushed back to Sunday morning shortly after Ordway drew the pole starting position after the event’s three heat races concluded. With over 12 hours to think about the race, Ordway did his job and drove to a wire-to-wire victory with continuous pressure from his brother-in-law, Trent Stephens, who would finish a close second.

The win marked Ordway’s second career feature triumph at Oswego — exactly one year to the day after winning his first career main event at the Steel Palace.

“Hats off to all these guys,” Ordway said in victory lane. “Clyde Booth’s been around here for years, and he’s getting better with age. Week in and week out he brings fast racecars, so hats off to him and Susan and everyone at Booth Racing Components. All the guys who help out — my parents, Ed and Nancy, Doc, Ryan and Kailee, and my wife for letting me do this.”

Ordway and series points leader Kyle Edwards led the 23-car field to the green flag and the race wouldn’t get past Turn 1 before a quick yellow slowed the action. Edwards entered the corner on the outside of Ordway when a front-end part failed on his No. 11E. The Bartlett, Tenn., driver went straight into the foam-protected wall with a heavy hit causing substantial damage. His race would be seconds after it began, and the incident will surely shake up the ISMA / MSS championship battle with only one event remaining.

Edwards’ misfortune gave the P2 spot to Michael Muldoon, who’d give Ordway a good run for his money on the restart. After Muldoon’s No. 15 edged ahead between turns 1 and 2, Ordway out-gunned the Baldwinsville, N.Y., driver down the backstretch to hold onto the top position.

Ordway would lead Muldoon for the first eight circuits until the second caution came out for rookie Kenyon Zitzka, who appeared to lose the right-front wheel on his No. 25 in Turn 3. Zitzka’s machine hit the wall and suffered heavy front-end damage. He’d be done for the day.

The second restart saw Ordway saw a shakeup in the top five with Stephens moving into second past Muldoon, Rich Reid settling into fourth and Otto Sitterly slipping from third to fifth. A few circuits later Sitterly would get loose between turns 3 and 4 and lose two more positions to Mike McVetta and Ben Seitz. Shortly after that, Reid’s bad luck would continue when he retired his No. 55, moving McVetta to P4 and Seitz to P5 behind Ordway, Stephens and Muldoon.

Ordway’s closest call came on lap 17, when he got stuck behind Tim Snyder’s No. 0 while trying to lap him. This allowed Stephens to close and make a bid for the lead. Stephens would edge ahead of Ordway in Turn 3 while Ordway had to back out on the inside behind Snyder. Stephens went to the high side of both Ordway and Snyder and likely would have taken the lead, but Snyder moved up the track just enough between turns 3 and 4 to give an inside lane to Ordway, who was able to shoot past the lap car and Stephens as the trio exited Turn 4. Stephens continued to pressure Ordway on the outside in Turn 1 until he slipped just a bit, allowing Ordway to maintain the lead after a tense couple of a laps.

Aric Iosue would bring out the third and final caution of the race on lap 29 when his No. 27 spun just ahead of the leaders in Turn 2.

The final double-file restart saw Stephens bog on the outside and Ordway easily maintain the lead. Stephens would settle back into P2 after a challenge from Muldoon, while Seitz overtook McVetta for P4.

The remaining 21 laps were relatively quiet. Stephens was able to pull up on the rear bumper of Ordway on several occasions, but didn’t have enough to mount a serious challenge.

Ordway would hold on for the win — the 12th of his ISMA / MSS career — over Stephens, Muldoon, Seitz and Sitterly, who passed McVetta for P5 in the closing laps.

McVetta, Mike Lichty, Dave Danzer, Michael Barnes and Mark Sammut finished sixth through 10th. Oswego 350 Super regular Josh Sokolic got the nod to drive the Danny Soule No. 32 for Sunday after regular driver Moe Lilje had to return to Ohio for work. Sokolic impressed in his first career big-block supermodified start, passing a number of cars and finishing 11th.

Just after crossing the checkered, Ordway’s engine began to smoke as he slowed on the cooldown lap — another close call in what’s been an up-and-down season for the Windham, Maine, driver.

“It seems like the oil cooler broke,” Ordway said when asked about the smoke. “We had that issue earlier this year and we thought we had it fixed, but it clearly wasn’t. Luckily it happened with just a couple laps to go.

“I have to thank everybody at Booth Racing Components, JRi Shocks, Performance Engines by Billy the Kid, High Performance Lubricants and Sweet Mfg. They make it happen for us, and I can’t thank those guys enough. Thanks to the Toresses, Johnny Nicotra and Chuck Handley and everybody at the speedway for putting in the effort to get this show in this weekend, and all the fans for coming back today. The race (International Classic 200) we all want to win is a couple weeks from now on Sunday, but we’ll take this one.”

Stephens spoke about his solid P2 run.

“I guess I tried to keep (Ordway) honest. We had a really good car today, and he had a good car, too. I was just happy to be able to race with him and push him a little bit. There were a couple of times I saw him kind of taking it easy, and I’d jump on him and he’d have to push again. I was hoping if I could make him push hard, he’d burn some up and I’d have something at the end. I think we were pretty even, so it was kind of a cat-and-mouse game. I got him at Lorain earlier this year, and he got me here, so I guess we’re even at Thanksgiving,” Stephens said.

Muldoon commented on his podium finish.

“The car wasn’t bad. We got really loose in lap traffic, so it made it kind of hard on the restarts. I thought we had a chance to jump (Ordway) on the outside on those restarts, but they had a little too much on us. Good run to Mike, good run to Trent — it was a nice, clean race, and we’re happy with it,” Muldoon said.

One race remains on the 2023 ISMA / MSS schedule. The series will be back in action Saturday, September 16 with the John Burr Classic / Championship Night at Evans Mills Speedway in the North Country of Upstate New York. The 100-lap race is the first winged big-block supermodified event at three-eighths-mile oval.

JEFF ABOLD WINS 2023 SANDUSKY HY-MILER NATIONALS

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Jeff Abold of Baldwinsville, N.Y., completed the supermodified Triple Crown Saturday night at Sandusky Speedway. With his win in the ISMA / MSS Hy-Miler Nationals 100, Abold now owns wins in the sport’s three most prestigious races — Oswego Speedway’s International Classic, Star Speedway’s Classic and the Hy-Miler.

An Oswego regular, Abold claimed his first supermodified feature win of 2023 in Saturday’s Hy-Miler. Abold won the annual late July main event over Friday night Fast 40 winner Mike McVetta. Former NASCAR star Johnny Benson Jr. had his best ISMA / MSS run of the season with a third-place finish.

MIKE MCVETTA WINS HY-MILER FAST 40 FRIDAY AT SANDUSKY

SANDUSKY, Ohio — A great field of 26 ISMA/MSS supermodifieds filled the pits despite the intense heat. Defending champions of Otto Sitterly (was the 2022 Fast Friday event and Mike Ordway Jr the Saturday HyMiler 100 who held the crown was ready to defend his championship.

Fast Friday, the preview for the annual Sandusky Hy-MILER 100 begin the two day affair admist some warm temperature that were prevailing throughout out the area. And the action became heated on the track as well. Rich Reid and Timmy Jedrzejek came together under ten laps to go and Otto Sitterly and Johnny Benson piled up on the track just after.

REDEMPTION — ORDWAY JR. CLAIMS FIRST WIN OF 2023 IN DOMINATING SATURDAY RUN AT BERLIN

MARNE, Mich. (Story by Keith Shampine, ISMAsupers.com / photos by Jim Feeney) — A night after losing a win late due to a mechanical gremlin, Mike Ordway Jr. finally put it all together in 2023 International Supermodified Association / Midwest Supermodified Series competition with a dominating feature win on night two of the 2nd Annual Great Lakes Classic at Berlin Raceway.

The second generation Windham, Maine, driver never left a doubt, leading the 60-lapper wire to wire for his first win of the season and 11th of his ISMA / MSS career.

Driving the potent Booth Racing Components No. 61 “Silver Bullet” for legendary supermodified car owner and builder Clyde Booth, Ordway had some luck on his side, as well, when the random pill draw gave him the P1 starting position for the 60-lap main event.

Friday night winner Kyle Edwards, who timed fastest in qualifying with a 13.299, drew P2 to set up a front-row showdown at the start between the two drivers who had combined to win the previous three ISMA / MSS features at the western Michigan track.

Ordway would lead the 18-car field to the green flag and move to an early lead on the initial start before a quick caution for debris slowed the action after one lap. The double-file restart had Ordway’s 61 jumping to another lead over Edwards’ No. 11E with Mark Sammut, AJ Lesiecki and Mike McVetta running third through fifth.

Lesiecki moved to the inside and past Sammut for P3 a few circuits in and McVetta went to P4 past Sammut at the 10-lap mark.

Up front it was all Ordway as he began lapping cars on lap 11. Possibly his closest call of the race came then, when lappers Kevin Feeney and Brian Otts went side-by-side in front of the leader in turns 3 and 4. Edwards moved to the outside of Ordway in Turn 4 and for a brief moment it looked like there’d be a new leader. But Ordway slipped to the inside of Feeney on the front stretch to put him a lap down as Edwards got held up on the outside lane and nearly lost P2 to a fast closing Lesiecki.

Once the leaders the cleared the first batch of lap traffic Ordway again opened up a sizable advantage over Edwards, who held a similar margin over P3 Lesiecki. McVetta and Sammut still rounded out the top five with Mike Lichty, Moe Lilje, Trent Stephens, Otto Sitterly and Johnny Benson Jr. running sixth through 10th.

The next shakeup came on lap 24 when McVetta’s No. 22 broke on the front straightaway. The Ohio driver would pull pit side and his night would be over.

The race’s second and final caution would come just past halfway when Charlie Schultz’ did a half-spin on the backstretch. While Schultz was able to save it and continue, it was enough to bring out the caution and slow the action.

Ordway opened up another big lead after the final restart as Edwards again settled into second. Meanwhile, Sitterly was making some moves after a quiet first half of the race. The Nicotra Racing No. 7 would move into P3 late in the race as Ordway closed in to put a lap on Rich Reid and Lilje, who were battling for eighth.

With only a few circuits left, Ordway opted to follow Reid and Lilje and not take a chance. While Edwards closed the gap considerably over the last few laps, he’d run out of time as Ordway’s Booth Racing machine crossed the checkered flag 2.568 seconds ahead of Edwards’ Bodnar chassis.

Sitterly would take third in his Bodnar for the second night in a row. Lichty and Lesiecki crossed the stripe fourth and fifth, over 10 seconds behind the winner. The result gave both Lichty and Lesiecki a pair of top-fives in the two nights of racing at Berlin.

“This is a testament to all the guys at Booth Racing Components and everybody at the shop and everybody who helps out; we’ve got a whole crew that does this,” Ordway said to Berlin promoter Jeff Striegle in victory lane. “Thank you to everybody at Berlin Raceway for the hospitality and putting this race on. For me, it’s the history of this place. To have the track record and now two wins in a row in this event, it’s pretty special. Berlin’s trophy from last year is sitting on my kitchen table, so we’ll put this one next to it.”

Edwards spoke about his night and solid weekend with finishes of P1 and P2.

“I’m really pleased with the racecar; we made big gains from yesterday even though we won (last night); obviously, (Ordway’s) spark plug wire stayed on today. But we were much better today. I would have liked to have had one more late-race restart, but it is what it is. Congratulations to the 61 car; they’ve got really good speed. My dad and I worked on this thing all weekend and made it a lot better. Two podiums is nothing to shake your head about,” Edwards said.

Sitterly recapped his pair of P3 results in his second visit to Berlin Raceway.

“First of all, we had a lot of fun. We’re getting a little bit better here. We started eighth last night and got to the podium, seventh tonight and got to the podium. Front row cars (won both nights). There’s a lot to be said there; you use a lot up coming through the field. Overall, no complaints. We were catching the 11, but even if I did get to him, I would have had to really sail it in there to get him, and we’re buddies. Overall, we’re pretty happy. We didn’t win, but we drove 12 hours and didn’t tear anything up, and from mid-pack to the podium both times, we’ll take it.”

Next up on the 2023 ISMA / MSS tour is the annual Hy-Miler Nationals weekend July 28-29 at Sandusky Speedway in Ohio. The event will mark the third and final Friday-Saturday doubleheader of the season with the Fast 40 Friday and the Nationals 100-lapper Saturday.

NOTES —

The top five looked very similar both nights with Edwards, Sitterly, Lichty and Lesiecki all recording top fives in each main event. If Ordway hadn’t dropped out Friday, the same five drivers would have finished inside the top five in each race.
Ordway’s Berlin Raceway track record of 13.021 set in 2022 was never in jeopardy. Lichty and Edwards’ fastest qualifying times Friday and Saturday were both nearly three-tenths of a second off Ordway’s record.
Ordway’s 11th career triumph breaks him from a four-way tie for 15th on the all-time win list with iconic supermodified drivers Jim Shampine, Ed Bellinger Jr. and Dave Shullick Sr., and it moves him into a tie for 14th on the list with Tim Jedrzejek.
Canadian Ryan Litt crashed hard in practice. He was transported to the hospital for x-rays and was later released with no broken bones, but very sore.

EDWARDS SCORES ANOTHER BERLIN FRIDAY FEATURE AFTER ORDWAY BREAKS LATE

(Story by Keith Shampine, ISMAsupers.com / photos by Jim Feeney) — Kyle Edwards of Bartlett, Tenn., won Friday night’s International Supermodified Association / Midwest Supermodified Series Great Lakes Classic 40-lap feature at Berlin Raceway after Mike Ordway Jr.’s Booth Racing No. 61 suffered a mechanical problem while leading with less than four laps to go.

It marked the second year in a row that Ordway appeared to have the Berlin Friday night ISMA / MSS feature in the bag until a mechanical issue ended his race early. A plug wire problem was deemed to be the culprit. And similar to the 2022 version of this race, the key beneficiary was Edwards, who was running second to Ordway both years and once again nabbed the victory.

The win marked Edwards’ second of the 2023 ISMA / MSS series.

“That’s two years in a row (Ordway) gave it away; it seems like they either win or break,” Edwards said to Berlin promoter Jeff Striegle in victory lane. “But they’re (No. 61) so damn fast, so we’ll take ‘em however we can get them. I was extremely loose. I don’t know what else we can do, but we’ll have to figure something out so we can compete with the 61 tomorrow. Thanks to all the fans for coming out on a Friday night, and hopefully the weather is good tomorrow so they can come back and celebrate with us again.”

Edwards and Ohio’s AJ Lesiecki started the 40-lapper from the front row and Edwards jumped out to an early lead. Lesiecki held P2 until Ordway, who started third, moved into the runner-up spot just before halfway.

Ordway wasted no time with Edwards and he shot his Clyde Booth chassis to the inside of the No. 11E Bodnar chassis while working lap 21. The New Englander would take the lead into Turn 1 and look to set sail, but the race was slowed a lap later for a spinning Ricky Otts in Turn 3. Otts’ No. 3 was hauled off on the hook and done for the night.

The double-file restart saw Ordway move out to the lead and quickly build an advantage. Meanwhile on the restart, Canadian Mike Lichty moved from P4 past Lesiecki to P3 and New York’s Otto Sitterly followed Lichty through to advance from P6 to P4. Lesiecki settled into P5 with Tyler Shullick, Trent Stephens, Johnny Benson Jr., Kasey Jedrzejek and Mike McVetta running sixth through 10th.

Over the next 10-plus laps Ordway’s Silver Bullet would build a 5-second advantage over Edwards, who was busy fending off challenges from Lichty.

With less than four laps to go Ordway, who’d just put a lap on Mark Sammut’s No. 78, was working on lapping Charlie Schultz’ No. 72 when his 61 slowed between turns 3 and 4. Sammut made a quick move to avoid the slowing 61, and Ordway pulled to Berlin’s front-stretch apron and came to a stop just before the start/finish line to bring out the second and final yellow flag of the race.

Ordway, who’s still searching for his first series win in 2023 after winning four main events last year, would pull the 61 nose first into his Booth Racing pit, and his race would be over three laps early.

“It’s been a struggle this year,” Ordway told a Berlin Raceway / FloRacing pit reporter after the race. “We broke leading at Jennerstown earlier this year, and we broke running second (at Oswego) last week. The races we’ve finished, we haven’t been worse than fifth. Tonight we were a little bit off in time trials. The guys worked on the car, and ultimately the race played out like we wanted it to. I was just biding my time at the start, and got to the lead when we needed to. We had some ignition trouble; we’ll get it back together and try again tomorrow night.”

When the race restarted, Edwards jumped out to a solid advantage and cruised to victory by a 1.047-second margin over Lichty. Sitterly was a couple car-lengths behind Lichty for P3 with Lesiecki holding on for a solid P4 and Stephens rounding out the top five.

Shullick, Benson, McVetta, Jedrzejek and Moe Lilje would finish sixth through 10th of 19 starters.

“The late restart was probably our only shot at winning it,” Lichty said after his P2 run. “About 20 laps in Ordway was struggling to get by some laps cars, and the same with Kyle, and I thought we would have had a shot at them. They cleared and then I cleared and then Ordway was gone. Bad luck (for Ordway). We were just way too tight, but it’s something to build on for tomorrow.”

“We were pretty decent. We started eighth and we were coming forward. Some of the restarts actually helped; I felt as though we were a little bit better than the first two guys the last eight or 10 laps, but it’s tough; everything is pretty wore out by the end of the race.”

ISMA / MSS is back at Berlin Saturday night to conclude the 2nd Annual Great Lakes Classic. After a mostly clean night of racing Friday, series officials expect a similar field of approximately 20 entrants Saturday night.

Qualifying is slated to start at 6:30pm. The race will be broadcast live on FloRacing.com with coverage beginning at approximately 6pm.

OTTO SITTERLY TAKES SECOND OSWEGO ISMA / MSS WIN OF 2023

OSWEGO, N.Y. — Otto Sitterly definitely knows his way around Oswego Speedway and Saturday night he picked up yet another feature win besting some strong ISMA / MSS contenders for the $6,000 prize in the Oswego County / NBT Bank INDEPENDENCE SPECTACULAR WINGED Challenge Race #3.

Sitterly started first after the pill draw and took quick advantage of the pole position when the green dropped. He’d jump out to an early advantage on P2 starter Dave Danzer and build a formidable lead.

Mike Ordway Jr. moved up quickly and shot past Danzer around the halfway point of the 50-lapper.

Also giving chase to Sitterly’s Nicotra Racing No. 7 throughout the 50 lapper were Ben Seitz in the Vic Miller No. 11, Trent Stephens (19), Michael Muldoon (15) , and fast qualifier Rich Reid (55), who made up the top five.

Sixth through 19th-place finishers: Kyle Edwards, Dan Connors Jr., Moe Lilje, Aric Iosue, Mike Ordway Jr., Russ Wood, Dave Danzer, Mike McVetta, Mark Sammut, Jerry Curran, Jeff Abold, Lou Levea Sr, Tim Snyder and Dave Shullick Jr. run down.

Shullick’s early demise when he pulled off the track on lap 6 was reported to be burnt plug wires.

Mike Ordway Jr., an ISMA / MSS winner at Oswego last August, pulled out of the race shy of finishing the last two laps when the wing broke on his Clyde Booth No. 61 as the white flag waved and he backed into the fence while running second.

Abold also had car problems which took him out of the action after just 11 laps run. Danzer, who had run second until halfway, was running fourth behind Sitterly, Ordway and Seitz when he went to pits just after a restart with 13 laps left. Danzer reported a front wing plate broke and wing started to slide underneath the car.

A yellow flew on lap 37 when McVetta slowed off Turn 2. This set up a Sitterly vs. Ordway showdown on the restart. With Otto choosing the outside lane, he was able to keep Ordway’s Silver Bullet at bay and was not seriously challenged for the lead. Sitterly would outlast a couple more late-race cautions and restarts – one for Ordway’s spin in Turn 1 – for his second Oswego Winged Challenge win in a row.

Other early exits besides the aforementioned were Curran, Levea, Snyder and Sammut due to car problems. McVetta, who had a tire blow earlier in the night, came home 13thafter he and his crew worked hard to get his No. 22 into the race.

The ISMA / MSS tour next travels to Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan for a 2-day event July 14 and 15.

AMHERST, Ohio — It was billed as the Lorain Raceway Super Crown Nationals and the racing lived up to the name. Saturday’s double 40 lap races were exciting to say the least after a Friday which featured just one 40 lap event, heats and some meetings for discussion to decide some different race strategies.

Saturday night, The very warm day saw two 40 lap features run and overall point champion named.

Rounds of hot laps led to qualifying and a field of 12 locked in which was followed by the pill draw which would determine the feature line up. Fast time was set by Kyle Edwards.

The first event lined up with 18 to race, Kyle Edwards, Moe Lilje, Mike Ordway Jr., Trent Stephens, Mike McVetta, Tyler Shullick, Rich Reid, Talon Stephens, Otto Sitterly, J.J. Henes, Mark Sammut, AJ Leseicki, Aric Iosue, Kenyon, Zitzka, Doug Neubauer, Mike Lichty, Lou LeVea Sr and Mark Miller DNS.

Kyle Edwards would take the win and the award for ½ way leader, sponsored by May Motorsports. Moe Lilje was second and Mike Ordway Jr was third. Trent Stephens won the hard charger award sponsored by the 4^th Turn Crazies, The last car running sponsored by NY Racing Mom went to Doug Neubauer.

And by Saturday evening when all was said and done Trent Stephens, Mike Ordway Jr. and Mike McVetta had some well earned awards to remember. With the overall championship McVetta would claim a bonus award of $1300 sponsored by Reed’s Salvage, with Ordway Jr., picking up $250, Kyle Edwards $200, Trent Stephens $150 and Otto Sitterly $100, The top five weekend point finishers awards were sponsored by Perfection Fabrication and ECO Mechanical,.with $1000 given to the McVetta, Ordway Jr, Edwards, Stephens and Otto Sitterly.

After a short intermission, it was the final race of the weekend. Rich Reid took up the lead spot, followed by Trent Stephens, Mike McVetta, Mike Ordway Jr., Tyler Shullick, Moe Lilje , Edwards and Otto Sitterly.The race was on an it was a great one. Reid lost his spot to Trent and there would be several race changes as the pace was hot. Cars pitted on occasion but returned to the fray. A double file restart found Trent along side of McVetta. With Ordway being chased by Otto and Tyler Shullick, and so it went as Reid fought with Stephens and McVetta and tried to hold off Ordway as Otto was still in the fray with Tyler Shullick.

Trent fought for the lead and won as the 55 of Reid was having his problems when the yellow fell when the 55 was into the foam in 4.

The halfway leader, sponsored by May Motorsports was given to the 19 of Trent Stephens, Hard Charger, sponsored by 4^th Turn Crazies went to Mike Lichty. Last car running went to Doug Neubauer. Sponsored by NY Racing Mom.

Stephens was very happy with a first place as luck hasn’t always been with the team recently. “This feels good. I think we gave one away on Friday. We had to put in a lot of work. We had a good car all weekend. We had a good setup. This car was junk last year and we had to put in a lot of work to get it good for this year. It finally feels good to get a win. The guys were down for a while. We had a good car and put it back together and to get a victory in this car is great. Just hope we can keep the car running this way.”

Ordway Jr. claimed a second place and a good week. “I didn’t finish less than a third all weekend. 1, 2, 3. It feels good after Jennerstown. We’re just missing a little and I can’t complain and I need to thank Clyde and Susan.
